I, for one, will never accept the testimony of traitors over that of Joseph, Emma, and Hyrum. All three of these founding members of Mormonism fought polygamy, and were either murdered or defamed by those who took the mainstream church west.
As time and evidence move forward, it is becoming more clear just how strong, resilient, and trustworthy the Smiths were. They were good people who were betrayed by a cult who had essentially become Cochranites, and who therein laid hold upon the doctrines and tradition of Lamech.
